For the Love of Beautiful Flowers and Wives
I recently discovered a blog via Something Sublime that I think is so sweet. It’s Loving Her Beautiful, a husband writing about his life with his beautiful, creative wife. He loves his wife, that’s quite apparent, and the fact a dude is writing about things like this from his “guy” perspective is touching and pretty funny.
I guess I could relate because it could very well be my husband writing about my escapades of creativity that he can barely begin to understand yet still goes along for the ride. I, too, am a Queen of Storage, and have creepy ladies in the house aka dress forms.
Although it seems his wife’s aesthetic tastes are a bit different than mine, I think most women have an appreciation of beautiful flowers. Some of my Roses have been blooming beautifully and I had to try and capture some of their loveliness.
These are big, fat, peachy ones. To me they nearly look like crepe paper ones, or ones from back in the day made of pink toilet paper festooning a procession of lowriders for a Quinceañera. But they’re real, and quite a blessing in my opinion. These are a few of my takes on them with my Polaroids.

Really lovely, Lola. Especially like the colors in the first one.
